“Navigate Home”

It’s one of the first global voice commands you learn when you experience HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1.

But “Navigate Home” also serves as the foundation for three of RealWear’s core values:

Safety. Stability. Security.

See what what we mean when we say, “Navigate Home.”
Navigate Home: Wind Turbine Maintenance and Repair with HMT-1
We’ve all been there.

First day at a new job, and nothing’s going your way.

Fortunately for frontline workers, there’s HMT-1:
  • Superb voice recognition up to 95 dB ambient noise
  • IP66 waterproof and dust-proof

Combine these two factors, and that’s a recipe for increased productivity and safety in harsh conditions.

But what’s even better than improved safety and productivity?

Improved worker confidence.

Watch the commercial now.
New Hire Saved by the HMT-1
Knowledge transfer in the classroom is relatively straightforward. But how do you make it easy in extreme environments?

In a Not Too Distant Future…
We were amazed when we discovered this recent video from Doppelmayr and Garaventa, which is part of their SMART Ropeway initiative.
Doppelmayr/Garaventa - SMART Ropeway - HMT-1 featured at 1:55
With remote maintenance, Dopplemayr / Garaventa customers are quickly connected with specialists and receive immediate assistance around the clock thanks to RealWear HMT-1. This keeps their cable cars running and cuts downtime, creating a better experience for all.

We first learned of this video from rise Technologies GmbH. RealWear’s Master Distributor for the Central Region of Europe Barcotec delivered HMT-1s to Doppelmayr / Garaventa, while rise Technologies deployed their Remote Mentor solution to the devices.

Strong ROI for Defense: Every Sentry a Sensor
Brian Hamilton; Captain Roy Love, US Navy, and Ed Riehle
Captain Roy Love is Commanding Officer Naval Base San Diego - a city-within-a-city of 38,000 people. Capt. Love is responsible for base operations including base security, where he commands a very large police force.

Recently, Capt. Love met with RealWear Chief Business Officer Brian Hamilton and Sales Director Ed Riehle, to introduce RealWear to the Commander of Naval Base San Diego’s Security Detachment.

With thousands of vehicles entering and exiting the base daily, security at Naval Base San Diego is extremely challenging. Capt. Love’s concept is to make Every Sentry a Sensor and augment their current surveillance systems with RealWear HMT-1’s high definition cameras for improved situational awareness.

In order to move this concept forward, Capt. Love would need to get Navy Region Southwest approval and execute a small POC at one of the primary access control points. If this POC proves successful, base-wide implementation would follow.

One of the drivers for introducing the HMT-1 is cost. Installing a camera system at an Access Control Point roughly $300K. But Every Sentry a Sensor would provide local coverage at the point of need for a significantly smaller investment.

Our thanks to Ed Riehle for contributing additional context on this story!
A Win-Win for Suppliers and Inspectors
Inspections are frequent at SNRI : inspection is a way for the customer to check that the requested equipment complies with expectations and specifications.

But this inspection process can quickly become tedious. There’s travel time because the inspector needs to travel to the factory, and then more time awaiting test results.

SNRI solved this by using the Remote Mentor capabilities of HMT-1 smart glasses. In the process, they delivered a win-win for suppliers & inspectors.
